Okinawa Private Residence

This newly built second home in Nago City, Okinawa, was conceived as an “extraordinary everyday life,” where the client’s sensibility harmonizes with an exceptional natural setting. The project was completed over three years through close collaboration between the homeowner, the architect, and our interior styling team.
The interior design centers on the client’s contemporary art collection, with furniture and color accents coordinated to enhance each work. Raised-leg furniture was selected for ventilation in Okinawa’s humid climate, while the dining area features pendant lights hung at varied heights to create a relaxed rhythm.
The master bedroom opens fully toward the sea, with minimal furnishings to preserve a sense of openness. A light wood–toned study with a custom W2400 desk offers a calm, tropical atmosphere. In the guest house, flexible seating and unconventional art placement add versatility and character.
